Front End
Needed

A personal corner of the web — apps, tools, and notes.

Who

I'm a 30y/o CompSci grad who loves to play video games, think about philosophy/ethics, and build things with software and hardware. I love watching NFL, UFC, boxing, anime, and various YouTube channels. As much as I was an athletic outdoors kid, I grew up on the internet and have always loved being online to talk to friends, play games, and see what's going on in the real world as it happens.

What

This is my own personal website I've hosted for over a year 24/7. I've only recently felt the need to update it and make it more than just a place for my iOS app's privacy policy. As I build upon it, this will be an opportunity to show off random projects, test SEO practices, learn new things, and share my more creative thoughts and ideas.

When

I first registered this domain early in 2025. I don't even really remember why, but I do remember that I thought the name would be funny. Mostly because I always thought myself more of a virtuous, backend kind of guy and felt if I ever built out this website it'd have absolutely no frontend and would look awful forever. I'd like to think I'm proving myself wrong in that regard but I'm still new to this so maybe it's still guppy-tier.

Where

I was born and raised in Florida. Went to UNF in Jacksonville for my degree. I'm currently living near the university in the 32246 area. I try to visit my beautiful girfriend who lives in the Philippines as often as I can.

Why

After being laid off from my most recent job, I've had a lot of time to decide what things I want to spend my time learning and improving at. I feel like my past self has almost laid out the pieces for me all along; getting my CS degree, working as a maintenance man and learning how to tinker safely and ambitiously, building my third PC, setting up my old PC as a de facto server, switching its OS from windows to Linux, making a barebones pure html site to host myself, getting a job as an SEO specialist and being forced to learn more about web pages and what makes them 'quality', all at the time feeling like they each had no real rhyme or reason. The 'why' is because even though I haven't acted on it in over a year, it feels like someone gave me the tools and the blueprint for a project I'm predisposed to enjoying. So I'm just giving it a go.
