Overview

WFPC (Warframe Price Checker) is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows. This policy explains what data the app does and does not handle while running on your computer.

The short version

WFPC does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The app runs locally on your machine and only contacts the public warframe.market API to look up item prices.

Data Collection

WFPC has no user accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. The app does not collect any information about who you are or how you use it.

Local Data on Your Device

The only thing WFPC saves to your computer is your capture region — the screen coordinates you choose during setup — so the app can remember your preference between sessions. This is written to a local config file on your machine and never leaves it. You can delete it at any time by removing the app's local files.

Screen Capture and OCR

When you press Capture, WFPC takes a screenshot of the region you defined and runs it through Tesseract OCR locally to read item names. Screenshots are held in memory only — they are not saved to disk and never leave your computer. OCR happens entirely on your device.

Network Requests

To return live prices, WFPC sends the item names it identified to the public warframe.market API. These requests contain only those item names, plus the standard HTTP information your computer sends to any website (such as your IP address). WFPC does not include any personal identifiers, account information, or usage data in these requests. For details on what warframe.market logs on their end, please see their own privacy policy.

Third-Party Services

WFPC uses one third-party service: the warframe.market API for pricing data. The app does not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or other third-party services.

Open Source

WFPC's source code is publicly available on GitHub. You are welcome to review the code yourself to verify any claim made in this policy.

Children's Privacy

WFPC does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If WFPC's behavior changes in a way that affects this policy, an updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
